Networking 4.0: creating transformational connections

According to our friend Chat GTP, “Networking 4.0: facilitates collaboration among different devices, systems and people, enabling smoother interaction and synergy between the various components of the network.” 

As part of our passion for promoting collaboration and innovation in the business world, this year we have had the privilege of participating in the design of initiatives such as Ciclo Creamos Futuro, Educadores que Transforman and other activities that #sorry but we have signed confidentiality agreement 🤐, which aimed to transform typical networking into constructive networking. 

In all cases, the goal was to promote effective connections between different actors and sectors, but it had to be done in a different way than usual. Now, that’s an interesting challenge.

What did we want to avoid? Long events, loops of speakers, participants in spectator mode, low interaction, among other characteristics of traditional networking events.

With that in mind, we set out to design disruptive experiences that transcended these characteristics and offered a fresh and dynamic approach to business networking.

As a starting point, we co-designed the purpose of each experience, carried out the conceptualization and gave it an identity. Then, we delved into the heart of the sessions, which meant designing minute by minute what had to happen in each one. In other words, we were able to put into action that initial purpose, immersing ourselves in the creativity and content of the event itself. 

It’s no longer just about exchanging business cards at social events or getting close to familiar faces. Now, we create spaces where people come together to address challenges and generate innovative solutions, all while getting to know each other from a different perspective: in action. 

Spoiler Alert! The concept of “constructive networking” is our invention, but so far it is the naming that best reflects what we mean by it: 

• Expanding the network of contacts: Quality connections are generated that not only link us with people we might not have connected with otherwise, but also open doors to job opportunities, future collaborations, and strategic partnerships.
• Continuous learning: working in a team with people of diverse backgrounds and skills also drives continuous learning. Each member brings their unique expertise to the group, enriching the process and providing opportunities for personal and professional development.
• Tangible results: one of the most exciting aspects of constructive networking is the generation of tangible results. From these working groups, ideas and projects with the potential to become successful realities are born.  
• Getting to know each other in action: constructive networking allows us to get to know people from a completely different perspective than we would in conventional talks or conversations. You not only interact with the rest but also see them in action, solving challenges and demonstrating their creativity, vision and skills. You witness how they approach problems and collaborate in real time.
